Having gone from the controversial, acclaimed feature Hard Candy to the blockbuster The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, David Slade is familiar with both the challenges faced by those in the indie world and the benefits that are attached to directing on a big Hollywood budget. Recently he has been working in episodic television, forming a unique cinematic language for series including Hannibal and the critically acclaimed anthology Black Mirror from creator Charlie Brooker. The premiere episode of American Gods saw him reunited with his team from Hannibal, filming Neil Gaiman’s bestselling novel in all its bloody, bizarre splendor; David is also an executive producer on both those shows. Join us for a fascinating and informative session as David shares some incredibly unique cinematic experiences.
