Colleen Nystedt is President and CEO of New City Group. Nystedt brings an extensive background in production, finance, business affairs and creative development to the company, and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of its operations. Since producing her first independent feature film in 1992, Nystedt produced or supervised production on numerous feature films and TV movies for Universal Pictures, Paramount, MGM, CBS, NBC, ABC, USA, Showtime and Lifetime Networks. Although coming from production, Nystedt's more recent activities have been directed to the financing, sales, marketing and distribution arenas. The creation of New City Entertainment has led to registration as an Eligible Business Corporation under the BC Small Business Venture Capital Act, providing an investment mechanism for private sector investment. In addition to conventional distribution activities, the company is also developing new media and technology applications for the filmed entertainment industry.
