Sarah
MacDonald is Director of Programming
for Television and New Media at the Knowledge
Network. In this role she is responsible
for overseeing program development and
production as well as overall programming
strategy, acquisitions, and scheduling.
On the New Media side, she is responsible
for spearheading Knowledge Network’s
online content delivery strategy. MacDonald’s
15 year history in public broadcasting
originated at the CBC where she most recently
was the Business Manager for Television
at CBC British Columbia. Prior to that,
MacDonald fulfilled the role of Unit Manager
on countless network and regional programs
and series for CBC including the 1994
Commonwealth Games in Victoria. Through
the course of her career, she has worked
in virtually every programmatic genre
in many capacities including producing
for YTV, casting for CBC TV drama and
researching in CBC current affairs. MacDonald
is also an award winning documentary producer.
