Caterina DeNave is Head of Drama and Comedy at TV3, New Zealand. She co-created NZ's first 5-day-a week serial Shortland Street which is still running after 13 years and a swag of  international award-winning children's drama including Children of the Dog Star and Steel Riders. DeNave has produced and directed in film and television for 25 years, primarily in all forms of drama from shorts through to features.  She has also worked in the UK and Australia.  In April 2004, during the WIFT-I Summit held in Auckland, DeNave was one of four mentors to six international filmmakers during the WIDC International Live Mentorship Session.  Making an obvious connection with Canadians at the Summit she has since been a guest speaker at the NSI Film Exchange, Banff World Television Festival and will mentor five Canadian women filmmakers at the WIDC Alumnae Mentorship Workshop.
