View the 2005 VIFF program by title, by day, by director, or by country.
We recommend browsing films by title or by country.
Looking for some action tonight? How about a comedy? Our maybe that Buddhist Interest film that all the neighbourhood is talking about? You'll find it in the Interest Section.
In the by title section, you have the option of viewing in a simple alphabetic List View or, when viewing films by title, in the Summary View, which includes descriptions and a small picture. You can also view the titles alphabetically in the Schedule View which lists the times and dates of screenings.
In the by schedule section, the viewing options include the list view and the grid view.
Easy access to box office purchases is available through by title, by day, by country, or by director in the the Schedule View.
Use the drop-down menus to narrow your selection to one of our VIFF sections: Cinema of Our Time, Canadian Images, Nonfiction Features of 2005, Dragons & Tigers: The Cinema of East Asia, Spotlight on France, Brazilian Music or Vancouver International Film Centre.
In all cases, you can click on the film title to go straight to the full program note for the film you have selected.
Visit our Box Office Pages to buy tickets, or call the VISA Charge-by-Phone line at 604-685-8297. Tickets and passes are also available at our advance outlets.

Annual Membership - $2
As a registered non-profit society, the Vancouver International
Film Festival screens films that have not been seen by the B.C.
Film Classification Board. Under B.C. law any person wishing to
see these unclassified films must belong to the Film Festival
Society and be 18 years or older. By joining the society, you
are also entitled to attend the Annual General Meeting (April
19, 2005 at the Vancouver International Film Centre - 1181 Seymour
St.). Membership is valid until the following year’s Film
Festival season begins.
Certain films have been classified for the sake of children under
18, who are prohibited by law from becoming members of the Greater
Vancouver International Film Festival Society. Adults must still
be members to attend these Festival screenings.
You will be required to show your membership card at each screening
you attend. If you cannot produce a valid membership card we will
ask you to purchase one at that time.
