International Tête-à-tête Meetings

Telefilm Canada is proud to sponsor the international tête-à-tête meetings, a working session designed to assist in the development of Canadian co-productions. In partnership with the 2004 Trade Forum, this unique event offers the opportunity to discuss concrete projects with international producers. Canadian producers with feature films and/or documentary projects currently in development and suitable for co-production are invited to submit outlines of their projects by Friday, August 27.

BC FILM/CBC MASTER CLASSES
Writing/Directing Series Television

In 2003, BC Film/CBC initiated a series of Master Classes geared towards the professional development of local writers. These classes were facilitated by writers Jim Taylor (About Schmidt) and Frank Borg (The Eleventh Hour) and proved to be extremely inspirational and informative. This year the Master Classes are back again with the focus on writing and directing for series television. Seasoned television experts from Canada and the US include:


Episodic Directing: Scott Brazil, Director/Executive Producer, The Shield
Episodic Writing: Focus on the US Market: Matt Weiner, Writer, The Sopranos
Episodic Writing: Focus on the Canadian Market: Wayne Grigsby, Writer, Trudeau 11
