Please read these instructions CAREFULLY
and COMPLETELY
before continuing.
Please do not call the Box Office if you have issues
with online ticketing unless you have read this page and your problem
is not addressed here.
IMPORTANT: VISA
is the Official Credit-Card of The Vancouver International Film
Festival and is the only card we accept for credit-card purchases.
Seniors Discount tickets
are not available online. You may order these through the
VISA Charge-by-Phone line by calling 604-685-8297.
There are no refunds or exchanges.
Please check your order carefully before you press "submit".
You must be 18
years or older to attend
screenings at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
The only exceptions are the films on the "Classified
Films" list.
Under B.C. law any person wishing to see unclassified films must
belong to the Film Festival Society
and be 18 years or older.
You will become a member by purchasing a membership for $2.
Certain films have been classified for the sake of children under
18, who are prohibited by law from becoming members of the Greater
Vancouver International Film Festival Society. Adults must still
be members to attend these Festival screenings.
You will be required to show your membership
card at each screening you attend.
Memberships are currently not available for sale on the web but
can be purchased at the theatre when you pick up your tickets.
This form will be submitted to a Secure Server using SSL encryption;
your information is not viewable by anyone in transit. Although
this form has not been displayed to you on a secure page, rest assured
that your information is completely shielded from prying eyes.
1) You must provide a working
email address which will be used to send you a confirmation
of your ticket order along with receipt of payment. We also ask
that you provide a valid telephone number; we will only call you
in case of a screening change or cancellation.
2) You can add shows to your Shopping Cart by clicking the ADD
TO CART buttons on any Program Guide page. You can
view your Shopping Cart at any time by clicking on any VIEW
CART button. The CHECKOUT
and DELETE FILM
buttons can be accessed when you view your Shopping Cart.
3) First select all the films
you would like to purchase tickets for. Then click the VIEW
CART button to proceed. After verifying that the
movies are correct, click the CHECKOUT
button. You will then choose the number
of tickets you wish to purchase for each screening.
3) Your tickets will be waiting for you at the Will-Call
station at the venue of your first screening (the
system will tell you what that is). Tickets may be picked up on
the day of your first show starting 30 minutes before the first
show of the day at that venue. When picking up your tickets, you
WILL BE REQUIRED
to show the same VISA card
used for purchase and photo ID. The tickets will only be
dispensed to the official cardholder.
A few other things you should be aware of:
• You can purchase a maximum of twenty tickets on an order,
10 tickets per show, and twenty different shows per order.
You cannot purchase advance tickets to a next-day screening after
7:00pm on the evening before (this is so that we have time to get
your tickets to Will-Call). These shows will be flagged by the system
as "DoorOnly" as some tickets may still be available at
the door.
Same-day tickets can only be purchased - subject to availability
- at the theatre starting 30 minutes before the first screening
of the day at that venue.
The On-line Ticketing system will be unavailable every night for
a short period for general maintenance. During this period you will
still be able to add shows to your Shopping Cart but you will be
unable to update your order. You will be able to update your order
a short time later when the system becomes available again, usually
within a few minutes.
A $2.00 Handling Charge will be automatically
added to every order placed on this web-site.
