Bookings
Bookings are not confirmed until the 25% booking confirmation and $100 (or more) refundable damage deposit are received. Clients with temporary bookings will be required to confirm or drop bookings if the same booking period is requested by another party. The Vancity Theatre maintains the right to cancel temporary bookings if the client is unavailable for confirmation.
All requests must be submitted in writing via email or regular mail to be marked as temporary bookings in our calendar.
*The Vancouver International Film Centre is operated by the Greater Vancouver International Film Festival Society, a non-profit organization. Part of our mandate is to foster the development of BC filmmakers and to assist other non-profit arts groups. To that end, we offer discounted non-profit rate to registered non-profit groups and charities as well as independently financed local filmmaker.
Additional Costs
All rates do not include mandatory projectionist/technician charge of $30/hr (minimum 4 hrs) or GST. See Equipment Rental for other additional costs. All rates subject to change without notice.
Professional Consultancy
Upon request, VIFF staff may be able to offer renters advice on technical, programming, or other event management issues. Consultancy rates are $50 per hour with a four hour minimum.
After Hour Rentals
The film centre rates above are based on rental events occurring during normal operational hours of the theatre from 9am to midnight. It is possible to arrange to extend the booking to before 9am or after midnight but the hourly rate doubles ($100 for non-profit, $200 for corporate per hour).
