The Party
Tuesday, February 1, 2011 – 7:00 p.m.
USA, 1968, 99 minutes
Director: Blake Edwards
Cast: Peter Sellers, Marge Champion
Peter Sellers gives a nimble performance as Hrundi V. Bakshi, an East Indian actor who is invited to a swish Hollywood party by accident. While being as humble and polite as possible, he almost destroys the host’s mansion and steals the best babe for himself. Director Blake Edwards, who directed Sellers in both PINK PANTHER films, passed away last month. What a delight to salute Sellers, Edwards and their hilarious work together with THE PARTY.
