VIFF 2012

Event: 31st Vancouver International Film Festival (inaugural year was 1982)

Dates: September 27 – October 12, 2012

Slogan: Same Planet. Different Worlds.

Vancouver audiences adore films– documentaries and non-fiction features, Canadian films, environmental films, award winners, short films, new cinema from East Asia, leading films from Brazil, Iran, France, Mexico, and everywhere in between. If it’s high quality, Vancouver audiences want to know about it and see it!

A big thank you to all our delegates, guests and sponsors for making the 2011 Film & TV Forum a resounding success! With over 1,000 delegates in attendance, the Forum fulfilled its mandate of providing networking opportunities and market intelligence with flying colors.

The Vancity Theatre follows all City of Vancouver wheelchair accessibility codes. Our front entrance is at ground level with no steps, as are our main theatre entrances. Specially allocated space for 2-4 wheelchairs is provided (number depends on chair size). A disabled/family washroom is available at ground level. An elevators provides access to all other levels of the facility.

For the hearing impaired, up to 4 Ultra-Stereo infrared headsets (Model # IRH-501) can be provided per screening. Please ask the theatre manager upon arrival if you require this service.
