Vancouver International Film Festival

With 150,000 admissions, the Vancouver International Film Festival offers its partners incomparable opportunity to communicate and interact with young, single, affluent, well-educated urban professionals.

VIFF is among the five largest film festivals in North America and is one of the largest cultural events in Canada. A fall fixture on the international film festival calendar, this outstanding festival is a microcosm of its home city: cosmopolitan, innovative, friendly, culturally complex and accessible.

One third of attendees earn $75,000 or more, and another third earn between $50,000 and $75,000. The audience skews female (58 percent); a third are aged between 18 and 34 and another 28 percent are aged 35 to 44; 63 percent have at least one university degree and a further 17 percent have some university education).

Our audience is multi-lingual, multi-cultural and well-travelled. English is the first language for 72 percent; Chinese is spoken by 13 percent. Many speak several languages - French (24%), Spanish (6%) and German (2%).

The 16-day festival shows some 350 films from 50+ countries on 10 theatre screens in downtown Vancouver. The 27th annual Vancouver International Film Festival takes place September 25 to October 10, 2008.

Vancouver International Film Centre

This exciting new state-of-the-art venue offers partners year-round interaction with film-lovers. Your film centre sponsorship can be combined with film festival involvement for extra impact. The centre programs approximately three weeks of film screenings every month (rentals by other festivals and groups fill out the rest of the calendar). Located in the vibrant Yaletown area of Vancouver, the centre is surrounded by high-rises, townhouses, restaurants, clubs and shops.

Film & Television Forum

The annual Film and Television Forum is the largest event of its kind in Western Canada (3,000 attendees, including 1,200 delegates). Geared toward the professional development of the local film and television community, it offers a series of panel discussions, tête-à-tête and speed dating sessions, master classes and workshops. This three-day event provides a unique platform to access domestic and global markets through the expertise of our guest speakers plus an opportunity for our delegates to meet and foster working relationships with their peers. Looking for that elusive co-production partner? Trying to create the next Away From Her? Then come to the forum and find out how!
