PERSEPOLIS, directed by Marjane Satrapi of Iran and Vincent Paronnaud of France, has won the Rogers People’s Choice Award for Most Popular International Film. The award was announced by the evening’s emcee, CBC Television news anchor Gloria Macarenko.

Films are ranked based on the number of ballots received and average rating. The information provided by the ballots not only determines the award winning films, but also provides feedback to the Festival and to the party that has kindly supplied the film.
