Aleks Paunovic
Title: Actor, This Means War

Aleks Paunovic recently completed filming Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters for 20th Century Fox and was nominated for a Jessie Richardson Theater Award for his leading role in the Vancouver stage production of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. Paunovic recently had a standout comedic turn opposite Tom Hardy in the Fox comedy This Means War and he recurs on the CBC series Arctic Air.
Paunovic has been seen in numerous highly acclaimed science fiction television shows which include: Battlestar Gallactica, Stargate Atlantis, Supernatural, Fireball, Mortal Kombat - Legacy, Human Target and Smallville. His other notable film work includes the role of ‘Tom’ in an emotionally charged film directed by David Hollander called Personal Effects. Co-starring alongside Ashton Kutcher, Michelle Pfieffer, and Kathy Bates, Paunovic played a mentally disabled man put on trial murder. He physically transformed himself for the role by gaining sixty pounds.
Paunovic was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and started his professional acting career while partaking in his two other passions, boxing and music. He competed at the Pre-Pan Am games as a member of the Canadian Boxing Team and played bass in a hard rock band. While playing with his band, Paunovic was asked to audition for the HBO movie Heads and got the role. From then on, he was bitten by the acting bug and has been working as an actor ever since. In addition to acting, Paunovic has produced and co-hosted a travel series and a reality show incorporating his love of boxing. He is also writing scripts for film and television.
