Steffen Reuter
Steffen Reuter is a founding partner and producer in Schmidtz
Katze Filmkollektiv, a German film company that develops,
produces and markets feature films for an international audience.
Reuter is also the founding partner of Nowtilus, an on-line
distribution company for audio-visual content. Schmidtz Katze
Filmkollektiv's current titles produced include Black
Ice, Overnight, Hoppet, Ellen Calling, Liebes Spiel, Metamorphosis
and Shipwreck Ruudy. Projects in development include
Bucaneer Girls, Gutenberg, Gladow's Gang, The Face
and The Champan. Based in Berlin, the company operates
as an independent producer within a European network focusing
on family entertainment, genre films (horror, thriller, mystery)
and European arthouse. They plan to extend their presence
in the German market and establish themselves as a reliable
partner for TV-stations, distributors and European producers.
The company has access to equity and can cashflow projects
and use the equity's leverage effect for financing. Schmidtz
Katze Filmkollektiv is active in the European producer's network
Ateliers du Cinema Europeen (ACE) and in the Alianz Deutscher
Produzenten - Film & Fernsehen, an association of leading
German production companies.
