David Hauka

David has been making films for over twenty years. His first feature Impolite earned him a nomination as Best Director of a First Feature Film from the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television in 1993. Other directing credits include the award-winning film Solus and music videos for artists Sarah McLachlan, Hilt, Consolidated, and Lava Hay.

Producing credits include Whale Music - which opened both the Vancouver and Toronto International Film Festivals in 1994 - and The Fisherman and his Wife. David has worked in production for Miramax, Disney, Universal, ABC, CBS and MGM.

David's short filmDream competed in the 2007 Arhus Festival of the Arts in Denmark. David's latest film Certainty will begin making the rounds on the festival circuit this fall.
