Suraj M. Gohill
Suraj Gohill, a twelve-year banking executive, has been involved
in over 85 film transactions with aggregate budgets of over
$1Billion. A graduate of Purdue University, Mr. Gohill has
developed a solid reputation within the film finance community
and has been a speaker on numerous film finance panels at
Cannes and the American Film Market. Currently, Mr. Gohill
is a Sr. Vice President with CIT Group, developing its independent
project film finance activities. In recent years he has structured
and led transactions for clients such as Gold Circle Films,
producers of one of the most successful independent movies
of all time My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Other clients have included
Yari Film Group, Nala Films, and Senator Entertainment among
others. He has been involved in the fiancing of such titles
as the Academy Award-winning Crash (Thandie Newton,
Sandra Bullock, and Matt Dillon); Hostage (Bruce
Willis); The Matador (Pierce Brosnan) and Thumbsucker
(Keanu Reeves); Gold Circle White Noise and White
Noise 2: The Light; Over Her Dead Body (Eva Longoria);
Because I Said So (Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore);
The Wedding Date (Debra Messing); Senator Entertainment's
Fireflies in the Garden (Julia Roberts); and The
Informers (Billy Bob Thornton and Kim Basinger).
A native of San Jose, CA, Mr. Gohill lives in Los Angeles
with his wife, Sonya and two sons, Dilan and Jaiden.
