Tracey Friesen

Tracey Friesen is Executive Producer at the NFB's Pacific & Yukon Centre. The studio has over 20 projects in various stages of development and production, plus recently launched Carts of Darkness, Dirt, Warrior Boyz and Bevel Up. Tracey has earned a producer credit on 18 films, including the multiple award winning titles ScaredSacred (Genie 2005) and Being Caribou (Gemini 2006). Before the NFB she was with Rainmaker for five years, first as a visual effects producer and then as director of sales & industry relations. Prior to this, she worked for six years as an off-line editor and post coordinator/ supervisor. Actively involved in the Vancouver film community, Tracey spent three years on the board of Women in Film & Video Vancouver - serving one term as president - and was honoured in 2005 with their Lifetime Membership Award. This fall Tracey will graduate from SFU's Executive MBA program.
