VIFF'S ADVANCE BOX OFFICE
We have installed a skookum new ticketing system that will enhance your customer experience. Thanks for your patience as we work out the kinks. Please be sure to check out What's New This Year.
TICKET OPTIONS
SINGLE TICKETS are best if you want to keep it simple or you just want to attend a few films. Simply search the film guide and select your films.
TICKET PACKS offer savings and may be the best if you want to attend at least 10 evening films and are able to decide on most of your titles ahead of time. The more you buy, the better the deal.
PASSES are best if you want maximum flexibility to see as many films as possible and don't mind taking your chances on available seats. There is ample room for passholders at the majority of screenings.
PLATINUM PASSES are ideal if you want the best of all worlds, including guaranteed seating in the reserved section up to 5 minutes before showtime
HOW CAN I KNOW IF I'LL GET IN?
PLENTY = plenty seats available.
GOING FAST = seats still available, but get there early.
LIMITED = limited seats still available, but running out.
RUSH ONLY = rush tickets only; advance tickets sold out.
You can tell how busy a screening is expected to be by checking the online ticketing site or the "Screening Today" signs in front of each Theatre. If you are using the online ticketing site, you can use the search function at the top of the page to search for your desired film.

Seats are still available at showtime for the wide majority of films, but plan ahead to avoid disappointment. Also please remember that some of the most popular films will come back for a commercial release.
VIFF MEMBERSHIPS
You must be age 18 or older and a member of our registered non-profit society to attend most films at VIFF.
Why? Because most of the films we screen are unclassified (not rated) and, under B.C. law, in order to see unclassified films you must be a registered member of a film society.
A VIFF membership is only $2, and is good for the whole festival. You must show your membership card at every screening. If you have forgotten your membership card, you must purchase another membership in order to be allowed into the theatre.
Films Classified for Youth
VIFF does seek classification for a selection of films for youth (under 18 years old) to attend. Classified films will be listed under Films for Youth. If you're a high school teacher or student, also check out our High School Outreach Program.
