2008 VIFF High School Program
In addition to our main sections, for younger film goers the VIFF offers the High School Outreach Program. Now in it's eleventh year, this program provides a unique opportunity for Vancouver-area high-school students to experience the best that international cinema has to offer. The Vancouver International Film Festival offers participating students (for groups of ten or more) a rate of $5.00 per person, per screening.
- Teachers: Pay one week in advance for your group and receive a complimentary ticket to another festival film of your choice.
- One teacher per class will receive a complimentary admission ticket.
- Please confirm the total number of students attending no later than 24 hours before the scheduled screening.
- Films suitable for students in grades 11 and 12.
Payment can be made in one of the following ways:
- By Credit Card (preferred method): Please fill out the High School Outreach form and fax to 604.688.8221 ATTN: Sasha Iwanick
- By Mail: Send a cheque payable to the Vancouver International Film Festival (with a copy of this form) to 1181 Seymour Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 3M7
- In Person: Pay with cheque or cash at our downtown office, at the corner of Seymour and Davie (see address above).
- By Phone: Please call Sasha Iwanick, Outreach Coordinator at 604-685-0260.
All tickets will be held at Will Call at the theatre prior to the screening (please arrive a minimum of 30 minutes early).
In addition to the films in the High school Outreach program, we also classify a number of other films for younger viewers to attend.
