Annual Membership - $2

As a registered non-profit society, the Vancouver International Film Festival screens films that have not been seen by the B.C. Film Classification Board. Under B.C. law any person wishing to see these unclassified films must be a registered member of the Film Festival Society and be 18 years of age or older. (We do classify some films for our High School Program. Click here for a complete list of classified films.)

By joining the society, you are also entitled to participate in its direction by attending the Annual General Meeting (April 14, 2009 at the Vancouver International Film Centre-1181 Seymour Street).

Membership is valid until August 31, 2008. The VIFF Membership card does not provide membership to the Vancouver International Film Centre but can be shown for a discount towards VIFC membership.

Unless you are a pass-holder, please carry your membership card with you at all times. You will be required to show your card at every screening you attend. If you cannot produce a valid membership card, we're afraid we must ask you to purchase another one at that time. Please note that certain films suitable for younger audiences have been classified and people under 18 years old may attend these without being a member.
